Retail Store Cleanliness Team Member

About the Role

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver our Brand Promises. Provide friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and ensure a clean, safe environment for both customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Prepares cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents according to specifications.
• Deep cleans key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and high-traffic areas.
• Keeps cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Maintains positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
• Projects a positive image and serves as a role model for other Team Members.
• Provides fast and friendly checkout experiences, including cash handling.
• Engages customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments.
• Assists with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participates in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Supports shrink and safety programs.
• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store, bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years old.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
• Some outdoor work may be required for retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
• Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
• Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.

Pay

Total Base Pay Range: $12.50 - $14.40. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with state and local laws.
