The salary range for this role is $9.06/HR to $12.80/HR; all state and local minimum wages will be complied with.

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our continued success in today's retail landscape. As an entry-level Store Associate, you will be trained in technology and print products/services to assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions and contribute to business growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, delivering exceptional service, and driving operational excellence. Periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party may be required.
Responsibilities
- Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
- Utilizes the selling program to promote the sale of the best solutions as well as additional products and/or services.
- Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
- Consistently maintains store and print department appearance to company guidelines, ensuring a neat, clean, well-stocked environment.
- Adheres to all standards related to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
- Follows established sorting and stocking guidelines and completes freight processes.
- Ensures freight sorting area is organized and set up in accordance with guidelines.
- Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.
- Develops personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools, including completion of Tech, Print, and other applicable training.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; supports loss prevention efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
- Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions.
- Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to build selling relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.
