Retail Store Associate (Seasonal)

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our continued success in today's retail landscape. You'll engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales. Through enthusiasm and expertise, you will help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhance visual and merchandising standards, and prioritize unparalleled client satisfaction. As an entry-level Store Associate, you will receive training in technology and print products/services to assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions and contribute to business growth. Periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
• Utilizes the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services.
• Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
• Consistently maintains store and print department appearance to company guidelines, ensuring a neat, clean, and well-stocked environment.
• Adheres to all standards related to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
• Follows established sorting and stocking guidelines and completes freight processes.
• Ensures freight sorting area is organized according to guidelines.
• Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.
• Develops personal selling skills and product knowledge through training tools, including Tech, Print, and other applicable training.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
• Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions.
• Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation and process inventory.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers and coworkers.
• Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $20.34 per hour. All state and local minimum wage laws will be complied with, which may result in an adjustment to the salary range.
