Retail Store Associate

About the role

The Retail Store Associate position at Savers / Value Village is part of a mission to champion reuse and support local nonprofit organizations through the resale of gently-used items.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure they have a positive shopping experience.
• Manage inventory, including sorting, pricing, and stocking merchandise.
• Handle donations from customers and donors, ensuring items are accepted and processed according to guidelines.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by Savers University.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $22.40 per hour, depending on job duties and position.
