About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at Savers / Value Village involves creating an awesome experience for customers, donors, and other team members. This role is available both full-time and part-time.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure they have a positive shopping experience.
- Manage inventory, including sorting, pricing, and stocking merchandise.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with donors to encourage donations and manage the donation process.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by Savers University.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
