Retail Store Associate

About the Role

Pearlman Group, headquartered in Suwanee, GA, is a multi-channel developer and distributor of specialty supplies, tools, and equipment used in the fabrication, maintenance, cleaning, and restoration of surfaces for residential, commercial, and industrial end-markets. The Retail Store Associate will assist in the day-to-day operations within a best-in-class industrial supply retail store, reporting to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to branch performance against KPI goals and work proactively to improve results.
• Process counter sales and check out customers.
• Pick, pack, and ship warehouse orders.
• Answer customer phone calls in a timely manner.
• Restock, price, clean, and maintain visual standards.
• Perform other duties as expected.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
• Experience using a computer for daily tasks.
• Extensive verbal communication skills for customer and associate relations.
• Ability to work closely with all levels inside the retail location.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Working Conditions

• High SKU diverse retail store operations encompassing small individual items to large material handling equipment.
• Use of material handling equipment (MHE).
• Utilize a computer and other tools to monitor productivity and operations.
• Lift, push, pull, and grasp up to 48 pounds while standing and kneeling.
• Work in a high-traffic area.
