    Job Duties

    • Makes sure customers have access to merchandise by organizing product displays and storage.
    • Replenishes inventory in bins, on the floor, or on shelves according to identifying information.
    • Straightens shelf inventory to ensure labels face out and merchandise is neat and easy to shop.
    • Checks the condition and prices of stock on the shelf as stock is being replenished.
    • Rotates older stock to the front of the shelf.
    • Marks identifying codes, figures, price tags, or letters on merchandise.
    • Moves, handles, and transports finished products, materials, or supplies using hand jacks, lift carts, and other means of transportation.
    • Provides customer service while working in a visible space on the floor.
    • Determines methods of storage, identification, and stock location based on factors like temperature, humidity, height, weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
    • Maintains inventory and other stock records.
    • Loads, unloads, and moves heavy, bulky products.
    • Keeps the work area clean, organized, and hazard-free (including backroom and shelves), and disposes of trash.
    • Helps and assists customers in finding merchandise and provides them with information.
    • Performs any other duties assigned by management.

      Qualifications for the position

      • Effective time management.
      • Background with agricultural products and environment helpful.
      • Previous retail experience helpful but not required.
      • Must have reliable transportation to work.
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills a plus.
      • Basic math skills.
      • Able to stand for long hours and lift heavy merchandise.
      • Able to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
      • Able to work both independently and within a team environment.

        Physical Expectations

        • Regularly stands, sits, and walks for extended periods.
        • Uses hands to handle or control objects.
