About the role

The Retail Sr. Store Associate-Part Time role at Office Depot is essential in driving store success through inspiring sales brilliance and exceptional service in key areas such as Print and Technology. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, delivering exceptional service, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
  • Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services.
  • Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
  • Consistently maintains store and print department appearance to company guidelines and keeps a neat, clean, well-stocked environment.
  • Adheres to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
  • Fulfills freight processes and ensures freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines.
  • Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Works to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided, including successful completion and comprehension of an advanced level of Print and Technology training, as well as any other applicable training.
  • Continues education in these areas is expected, up to and including designated certifications, if required.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; and supports the company’s loss prevention efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required, but Retail sales experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and G-Mail.
  • Ability to use computers and technology for information and to access information necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system.
  • Read, count and write to accurately complete documentation, utilize training tools and process inventory.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, necessary to establish a selling relationship with customers and other employees.
  • Enjoys interacting with people.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $19.07, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
