Joining the Team

Contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service as a Shortage Control Associate (SCA).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and wear designated dress standards, radio, and earpiece.
• Stand at the front of the store, remain vigilant, and be aware of your surroundings.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Reduce opportunities for theft, shoplifting, and other dishonest activities by monitoring the entrance throughout the shift.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Model safety as a top priority and address any unsafe practices promptly.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and visually monitor the store environment.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Able to review, analyze, and comprehend business trends.
• Able to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision-making.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Able to lead and foster productive business relationships.

Work Schedule

• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay and Benefits

• Base Pay: $13.00 per hour - $13.00 per hour
• Burlington's benefits package includes medical coverage and a 401(k) plan.
• Part-time associates may be eligible for up to 4 hours of paid time off annually after one year of service, up to 8 paid holidays, and paid sick time in accordance with applicable law.
