Shortage Control Associate (SCA)

• Directly impacts store's security and customer shopping experience
• Maintain a professional appearance, wear designated dress standards, and use radio and earpiece
• Stand at the front of the store, remain vigilant, and greet every customer with a warm smile and loud, friendly greeting
• Reduce opportunities for theft, shoplifting, and other dishonest activities
• Identify and report theft incidents and/or suspicious subjects to Manager on Duty

Command Presence

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Wear designated dress standards

• Stand at the front of the store
• Remain vigilant and aware of surroundings
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and loud, friendly greeting
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft

Knowledge and Communication

• Possess knowledge mastery of top shortage areas and support programs
• Communicate information about theft prevention during store rallies
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates
• Understand the role in keeping store and assets safe and secure
• Support training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes
• Role-model safety as a top priority and address unsafe practices promptly
• Communicate information about theft prevention during store rallies

• Provide support in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes
• Role-model safety as a top priority and address any unsafe practices promptly

Experience and Responsibilities

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment
• Able to maintain confidentiality
• Able to review, analyze, and comprehend business trends
• Able to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision-making
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
• Able to lead and foster productive business relationships
