Retail Service Specialist

About the Role

The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This position assumes shift management responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant or Store Manager. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team execution of programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship-to-store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure using the electronic purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, approve schedule changes, and verify clock-in/out compliance.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, managing security systems, and securing delivery vehicles.
• Complete all other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts (desired).
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification (desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
