Retail Service Specialist

Pay

Compensation Pay Range $16.00 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance premiums, or other premiums paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, and multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team execution of programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
• Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process all buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders promptly, and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges in an efficient, friendly manner; issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods; and stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain approval for any changes, and clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying and securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, securing night‑time lighting, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience desired, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.
