Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves food to cafeteria patrons in a friendly manner.
- Adheres to GBMC and department policies for proper hygiene and dress code.
- Maintains clean and sanitary environment in kitchen and café areas per departmental, GBMC, and regulatory agency policies, procedures, and standards.
- Prepares light cooking of prepackaged foods by placing in oven or on stove.
- Performs other tasks designated by Management team.
- Demonstrate knowledge of fire safety to meet State and Joint Commission regulations to include the location of the Ansul fire system, correct storage of fire extinguishers and how to report a fire.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safe chemical usage by identifying the location of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the usage of PPE
- Demonstrate knowledge of the HACCP program to include the temperature danger zone, labeling and dating, and sanitation.
- Ensures Brand Standards are followed for Boar’s Head, Freshen and Wow.
- Follows proper portion controls to ensure consistency of product for the patrons of the cafeteria.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Or equivalent work experience.
- Licensures/Certifications: Not Applicable
- Experience: 3 months kitchen or cafeteria experience preferred
Skills
- Ability to work well under time constraints and to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to read and write, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of the HACCP program.

Pay
Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00
Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
