Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling using tools like text and social media
• Build and maintain customer relationships through exceptional service tailored to individual preferences
• Provide honest, confident feedback on style and fit to enhance customer satisfaction
• Develop fashion and product expertise to offer informed recommendations
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a customer-ready department, including order fulfillment, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Grow the Nordstrom Rewards program by opening new customer accounts
• Occasionally perform duties in other departments as needed

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Handling bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including lifting above head height
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $17.25. Commission varies by department: 3%–14.5% for apparel, shoes, and accessories; 3% for beauty and men’s fragrance. Performance-based incentives or bonuses may also apply.
