About the role
As a Customer Service Associate you combine top‑notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping at Lowe’s. You will welcome customers, help them find the right products and services for their home‑improvement needs, answer questions, and ensure all customer needs are met. The role may involve loading merchandise, organizing shelves, and varying duties by department (e.g., Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services).
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down‑stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross‑functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
- 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift 25 lb unassisted or over 25 lb with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).

Pay
Pay Range: $15.00 – $15.60 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
Working Conditions
Environmental factors vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty environments. Associates may be exposed to constant or intermittent noise, moving or shaking objects and equipment, and must follow lifting guidelines (single lifts limited to 75 lb; team lifts used for heavier items). Powered equipment is used as required with proper training or assistance.
Travel Requirements
This role does not require regular travel; occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
