Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
  • Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
  • Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
  • Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
  • Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
  • Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
  • Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
  • Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
  • Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
  • Bilingual skills.
  • Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).

Schedule

This role offers part-time and full-time opportunities with flexible scheduling to support your goals.

Travel Requirements

This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Working Conditions

  • Environmental factors vary by location; you may work in both inside and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions.
  • Exposure to constant or intermittent noises, moving or shaking objects, and equipment.
  • Lifting methods vary; associates must follow guidelines limiting single lifts to 75 pounds, with team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
  • Powered equipment may be used with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
