Retail Sales or Stock - The Centre at Preston Ridge Rack

We are hiring Stock team members with shifts starting at 4 AM. Join a fast-paced, high-energy environment where you’ll continuously move and collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You’ll ensure a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is key, as you may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness, organize stockrooms, and help customers find great deals.

About the role

Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments. During the interview process, you’ll discuss which role interests you most.

Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Service

• Work with the team to keep the sales floor "runway ready" by re-merchandising, straightening, and ensuring proper sizing and stock levels throughout the day.
• Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all sizes, and handling bulky or heavy items.
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers, sorting clothing, and returning items to the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Keep stockrooms organized, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.

Stock Support and Fulfillment

• Receive, unload, and unpack freight, then deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders while adhering to packing and shipping standards.
• Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
• Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, handling markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Handling bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above the head and lifting.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• For Stock and Fulfillment roles: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $16.20 - $16.85, dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.
