About the role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you'll be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment where continuous movement and teamwork are essential. Your role will involve ensuring a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience, managing the sales floor, assisting customers, and supporting stock operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the sales floor is "runway ready" through re-merchandising and straightening
  • Operate a point-of-sale system and assist with cashiering transactions
  • Support fitting room attendants by greeting and assisting customers
  • Sort and return clothing to the sales floor
  • Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
  • Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments
  • Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
  • Provide general support to the store, such as setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures

Requirements

  • Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills
  • Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
  • Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head
  • Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with a clear understanding of retail operations and customer service principles. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not required.

    Pay

    $15.30 - $15.90 hourly

    Schedule

    Flexible schedule based on business needs, including the possibility of working shifts starting as early as 4 AM for Stock Support and Fulfillment roles.
