Retail Sales Lead Golf

About the Role

The Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead serves as the in-store expert for their business or department, delivering exceptional customer service and providing direction to teammates. This role requires leading by example, demonstrating empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration.

• Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
• Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to foster mutual trust, respect, and contribute to the store’s recognition culture.
• Plans, organizes, and controls operations 30 days in advance with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, including workforce alignment for daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
• Strategically leverages teammates to ensure brand standards are met, programs and processes are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on priority.
• Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
• Assists the store leadership team with general supervision in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Assists with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current teammates.
• Prioritizes coaching and developing oneself and others, providing hands-on coaching and explaining the "why" behind tasks, plans, and processes (e.g., NSPP, Scorecards, LP).
• Leads by example to support the organization’s vision and store goals, helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align with delivering a hassle-free shopping experience.
• Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and treated with respect.
• Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures while maintaining confidentiality of Company information.
• Takes an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
• Golf experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours continuously).
