Overview
The Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. Guided by the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead serves as the in‑store expert for their department, delivering top‑notch service to customers while providing direction to teammates.
Responsibilities
- Support building and hiring a strong team by observing in‑store interviews and department tours.
- Build a people‑first culture by connecting with every teammate, fostering mutual trust, respect, and contributing to a strong store recognition culture.
- Plan, organize, and control 30‑day schedules with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, aligning workforce to execute daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
- Strategically leverage teammates to ensure brand standards are met, programs and processes are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on priority.
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards.
- Assist the store leadership team with general supervision in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Train teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross‑training current teammates.
- Prioritize coaching and development, providing hands‑on coaching and explaining the “why” behind tasks, plans, and processes (e.g., NSPP, Scorecards, LP).
- Lead by example to help teammates understand how their responsibilities align with the organization’s vision, goals, and a hassle‑free shopping experience.
- Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates & customers) feels welcome, safe, and respected.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures; maintain confidentiality of all company information.
