About The Role

DABS stores are closed on Sundays and all state and federal holidays.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers in finding products, making selections, and sharing product knowledge.
- Compliance & Safety: Strictly verify IDs to ensure all sales are made only to customers 21 and over, screen for intoxication, and maintain situational awareness for loss prevention.
- Point of Sale: Process transactions accurately at a cash register, handle cash and card payments, give correct change, and balance the till at the end of a shift.
- Inventory & Order Fulfillment: Assist in receiving, inspecting, storing, and displaying merchandise. Fill wholesale liquor orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required.
- Store Operations: Maintain the facility in a clean, orderly, and safe condition (including occasional light maintenance like clearing sidewalks). Assist with inventory spot-checks and help support store operations during peak times or in the absence of management.
Requirements
- Age: 21 years of age or older.
- Physical: Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Schedule: Able to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
- Background: Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Communication: The ability to speak clearly and understand spoken information effectively.
- Customer Service: Able to provide excellent customer service by assessing customer needs and meeting high quality standards.
Preference may be given to current employees of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services.

Physical Requirements
- Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
- Extensive standing/walking (approx. 70%/30% of shift). Must lift, pull, push, and carry 50 lbs. frequently.
- Requires constant balancing, grasping, and finger dexterity. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and seeing.
- Requires frequent talking, hearing, and hand/wrist/arm use.
- Tools: POS, box cutter, hand truck.
- Walk on either level or uneven surface frequently. Occasional climbing.
