About the role

The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier, plays a crucial part in ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a well-stocked and organized sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Verification of till counts and accurate cashier transactions
• Engaging customers in the roundup initiative and promoting Goodwill's mission
• Providing excellent customer service and addressing customer inquiries
• Completing opening and closing procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor
• Initiating customer delight/power hour calls
• Following all retail center policies and procedures
• Ensuring a safe and clean working environment
• Cross-training in other departments as needed

Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of retail sales or cash handling experience preferred
• Able to accurately handle numbers and understand currency
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Able to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to eight (8) hours per day

• Accurate with numbers and general calculations
• Understands the value of different coins and US currency
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Able to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine

• Able to see color for accurate transactions
• Able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime

Skills

Strong cash handling skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) cash register system are highly valued.

Pay

$15.95 per hour

Schedule

Full-time positions are available. Openings are Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM and Sunday from 9 AM to 8 PM.
