About the role
This position will be posted through July 23, 2026. Full-time positions are available. Weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a welcoming manner and respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Help maintain a well-stocked and organized sales floor that meets company standards.
- Operate a point-of-sale (POS) cash register system to ensure the accuracy of product and pricing at the time of purchase.
- Verify till counts and complete accurate cashier transactions.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer using a computer-based POS system.
- Engage customers in the roundup initiative and share knowledge about its mission.
- Provide excellent customer service, upholding company values.
- Assist customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.
- Complete opening and closing procedures.
- Regularly clean and organize shelves and racks, pick up items from the floor, put away product, and return or discard unwanted items.
- Initiate customer delight/power hour calls over intercom to organize and clean the sales floor.
- Follow all retail center policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety processes and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees and customers.
- Cross-train in other departments or areas as required.
- Act as a backup for other areas as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- One (1) year of retail sales or cash handling experience is preferred.
- Must be accurate with numbers and general calculations, understand the value of different coins and US currency, and use basic math such as adding, subtracting, and multiplication.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
- Must be able to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to eight (8) hours per day.
- Must be able to see color for accurate transactions.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime as necessary.
