How Our Selling Colleagues Spend Their Day

  • Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact, wearing name badge with pride, greeting teammates warmly, and helping ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers
  • Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay up to date on current trends and promotions before getting started
  • Focus on the customer - offering a warm welcome, making eye contact, and creating friendly, personal conversations to build customer relationships and bring customers back
  • Maintain a shoppable space throughout the day by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves
  • Finish Strong by sharing Loyalty program benefits, ensuring customers have all they need, and ending with a sincere thank-you while often walking the package around and using the customer's name
  • Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities
  • Strive to improve every day, take pride in work, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other to deliver individual and store results

Schedule

  • Full-time colleagues: typically scheduled 30 or more hours per week
  • Part-time colleagues: typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week
  • All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements
  • Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability

Who You Are

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Able to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues
  • Enjoy meeting daily sales goal challenges
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information
  • Resourceful and eager to start a new venture and can adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work independently while also being great with team dynamics
  • Able to handle electronic devices with no problem

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours
  • Lifting at least 25 lbs
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
  • Reaching, including above eye level
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions
