About the role

The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial part in maintaining a high standard of customer service, embodying the core values of US Foods: Great Food, Made Easy. This role requires a blend of cashiering, stocking, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting the CHEF’STORE brand.
• Utilize POS systems efficiently, including scanning, weighing, and reporting discrepancies.
• Perform cart-to-cart transfers, inspecting products for tampering, and verifying cart contents.
• Work in various departments, including Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply, replenishing stock and rotating products.
• Assist with special events, such as vendor fairs and sales floor resets.
• Participate in store opening and closing duties, including inventory and cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, reporting and correcting safety issues.
• Manage customer expectations and provide efficient service.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency with office equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay

$18.65 per hour, with potential for overtime compensation.

Schedule

Part-time positions available, 20-30 hours per week.
