About the role
The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial part in maintaining a high standard of customer service, embodying the US Foods cultural beliefs of delivering excellence, stopping waste, winning together, speaking up, and valuing each individual.
Responsibilities
- Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting the US Foods strategy.
- Utilize skills learned in training to maximize customer relationships and perform sales and cash functions efficiently.
- Scan merchandise using a handheld scanner or keypad, weigh products, and verify barcodes for accuracy.
- Perform cart-to-cart transfers, inspect products for tampering, and check carts for accuracy before customers leave.
- Work in various departments, including Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply, to replenish stock and rotate products.
- Assist with special events, such as vendor fairs and sales floor resets, and participate in inventory processes.
- Support store opening and closing functions as directed by management.
Requirements
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
- One year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Desire and ability to provide exceptional customer service and adaptability to assist others.
- Good common sense, logical thinking, and basic math skills.
- Motivation, self-drive, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
- Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency with general office equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to stand continuously, walk frequently, lift up to 20 lbs frequently, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, grasping/manipulating objects, and manual dexterity.

Pay
$19.00 per hour, with potential for higher rates based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
