About the role

The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of customer service, aligning with US Foods' core values of delivering excellence, minimizing waste, fostering teamwork, encouraging communication, and valuing every individual.

Responsibilities

• Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting the CHEF’STORE brand.
• Utilize POS systems efficiently, including scanning, weighing, and reporting discrepancies.
• Perform cart-to-cart transfers, inspecting products for tampering, and serving as a receipt checker.
• Assist in store opening and closing, including handling cash transactions and performing inventory checks.
• Manage sales floor operations, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing daily restocking tasks.
• Support customer needs by providing assistance in the Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply departments.
• Participate in special events and assist with inventory processes as directed.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Minimum one year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency with office equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Desired qualities include a strong commitment to customer service, adaptability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Schedule

Flexible hours are available, typically Monday - Sunday, between 5:00am and 7:00pm, with the option to work shifts involving overnight or weekend hours.
