About the role

The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial part in maintaining a high standard of customer service, embodying the core values of US Foods: Great Food, Made Easy. This position requires a blend of cashiering, stocking, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting US Foods' cultural beliefs.
• Perform sales and cash functions using POS systems, including scanning, weighing, and reporting discrepancies.
• Manage inventory by replenishing shelves, rotating stock, and reporting low stock levels.
• Assist in special events and store operations, such as vendor fairs and inventory processes.
• Operate reach trucks and pallet jacks to move and stock products.
• Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for various tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, including the parking lot and store entry area.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing assistance and resolving issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
• One year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Good common sense and logical thinking skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks.
• Flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with office equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 100 lbs, and perform other physical activities as listed above.

Pay

$17.69 starting pay, with potential for higher rates based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
