About the role

The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of customer service, aligning with US Foods' core values of delivering excellence, minimizing waste, fostering teamwork, encouraging communication, and valuing every individual.

Responsibilities

• Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting effectively with customers and promoting US Foods' strategies.
• Utilize skills and behaviors learned in CHEF’STORE Way training to enhance the shopping experience.
• Perform sales and cash functions efficiently using POS systems, including scanning, weighing, and reporting discrepancies.
• Manage inventory by replenishing shelves, ensuring proper labeling, and participating in inventory processes.
• Assist in special events and store operations, such as vendor fairs and sales floor resets.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
• One year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency with office equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Desire to provide exceptional customer service and adaptability to assist colleagues.
• Logical thinking and basic mathematical aptitude.
• Motivation, self-drive, and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical capabilities to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform manual dexterous tasks.

Pay

The starting rate is $21.30/hr.

Schedule

Monday - Sunday, between 5:00am and 7:00pm, with flexibility based on business needs.
