About the role
The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial part in maintaining a high standard of customer service, aligning with US Foods' core values of delivering excellence, minimizing waste, fostering teamwork, encouraging open communication, and valuing individual contributions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting the CHEF’STORE brand.
- Utilize POS systems efficiently, including scanning, weighing, and reporting discrepancies.
- Perform cart-to-cart transfers, inspecting products for tampering, and verifying purchases.
- Work in various departments, including front-end, meat/frozen, produce/dairy, and dry goods/culinary equipment, replenishing stock and rotating products.
- Assist with special events, such as vendor fairs and sales floor resets.
- Support store opening and closing functions as directed.
- Manage inventory, including price changes and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, reporting and correcting safety issues.
- Operate cleaning equipment and manage parking lot and store entry areas.
Requirements
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
- Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Good mathematical aptitude and basic computer skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Passionate about service and willing to model this behavior.
- Flexible to work part-time 20-30 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform other physical tasks as required.

Pay
$17.69 starting pay, with potential for increase based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Part-time, 20-30 hours per week, with weekend and holiday availability required.
