About The Role

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate, you’ll deliver a high-touch, energetic customer experience while driving sales through active engagement and strong product knowledge. You’ll be a consistent presence on the sales floor, greeting customers, recommending products, helping with fit and styling, and creating an experience that feels distinctly Bad Birdie. You’ll also support the daily operation of the store, including inventory, visual standards, shipment processing, replenishment, and assigned store tasks.

  • Reports to: Store Manager
  • Location: Bad Birdie @ Westfield UTC San Diego
  • Schedule: Part-Time, 20–30 hours/week

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Deliver an exceptional, high-touch customer experience through confident product knowledge and genuine engagement.
  • Greet and actively support every customer throughout their shopping experience.
  • Recommend products, assist with fit and styling, and help customers build complete looks.
  • Contribute to store sales goals and key metrics, including conversion, units per transaction, and average order value.
  • Participate in team huddles and sales-focused check-ins to align on priorities and performance.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the store clean, organized, stocked, and on-brand.
  • Assist with shipment processing, replenishment, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and communicate issues affecting inventory, store operations, or the customer experience.
  • Share ideas that could improve customer engagement, store traffic, and sales performance.
  • Complete assigned operational tasks accurately and on time.

What You Bring

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable starting conversations, recommending products, and actively engaging customers.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first approach.
  • Reliable, accountable, and able to follow through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Able to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
