About the role
The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial part in maintaining a high standard of customer service, embodying the US Foods Cultural Beliefs. This position requires a combination of roles including Cashier, Stocker, and Customer Courtesy.
Responsibilities
- Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting the US Foods strategy.
- Utilize the CHEF’STORE Way training to model excellent behavior and perform sales and cash functions efficiently.
- Scan merchandise using a handheld scanner or keypad, weigh products, and verify product accuracy.
- Perform cart-to-cart transfers, inspect products for tampering, and check carts against purchases.
- Work shifts at various departments, including Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply, to replenish stock and manage inventory.
- Assist with special events, store openings, closings, and inventory processes.
- Operate reach trucks and pallet jacks to move products and stock shelves.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel, and proprietary software to assist with tasks like price changes and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring all products are accessible and visible.
- Report safety issues and participate in inventory and cycle count processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
- Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Good mathematical aptitude and the ability to think logically.
- Self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks.
- Flexible to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with general office equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Physical abilities to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform other physical activities as listed above.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of inventory management and stock rotation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Pay
$19.66 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Part-time, 25-32 hours per week, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
