Retail Sales Associate � Part-Time Bookstore Department | Non-Exempt Help Create a Welcoming Experience For Every Customer Lakewood Church is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-minded Retail Sales Associate to support customers of Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen Ministries through exceptional service and accurate retail transactions. Working directly with the Retail Sales Manager, this position plays an important role in creating a positive bookstore experience by assisting customers, processing purchases and phone orders, maintaining product displays, and supporting daily store operations. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys serving people, works well as part of a team, values accuracy, and can provide cheerful and professional service in a fast-paced retail environment. Work Schedule Part-time positionRegular availability is required on Wednesday nights, Saturday nights, and all day SundayAdditional nights, weekends, holidays, and special events may be required based on bookstore and ministry needs Compensation $13/per hour with a $15/per hour Sunday Premium What You�ll Do Working as part of the Bookstore team, you�ll assist customers, process sales and payments, maintain merchandise, and support the day-to-day operation of the store. Customer Service & Product Support Greet, assist, and engage with customers in a friendly and professional mannerProvide an exceptional level of customer service throughout each interactionMaintain strong product knowledge to accurately and efficiently answer customer questionsAssist customers with product questions and general bookstore inquiriesWork effectively and cooperatively with coworkers and staff Sales & Payment Processing Operate and accurately balance the cash registerAssist with fulfilling customer phone orders, ensuring orders are accurately processed and shipments are completed in a timely mannerProcess credit and debit card transactions by phone in accordance with established proceduresAssist with cash handling procedures as neededAssist with processing registration paymentsMaintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling customer transactions Merchandising & Store Operations Assist with appropriate product pricingReplenish stock and merchandise floor displays as neededReceive and count product shipments as neededAssist with cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the bookstoreSupport the Audio Duplication Process as neededFollow established bookstore processes and proceduresMaintain regular attendance and adhere to the assigned work schedulePerform other related duties as assigned What We�re Looking For Successful candidates will demonstrate: An uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church�s vision, values, and core beliefsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsThe ability to interact with customers and staff in a cheerful, professional, and helpful mannerStrong verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyComputer proficiencyDependability, reliability, and punctualityThe ability to work effectively and cooperatively with othersProfessional appearance and conductThe ability to lift up to 25 poundsFlexibility to work additional nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed Qualifications High School Diploma requiredSome college preferredPrevious experience in a retail environment preferred Our Mission As a member of the Lakewood Church team, you play an important role in helping fulfill our mission of bringing hope through Jesus Christ to people around the world.
