Retail Sales Associate (Part Time)

About the role

Camping World is seeking a Retail Sales Associate for its growing team. The role involves providing excellent customer service, leading the department, assisting and mentoring colleagues, promoting company programs, maintaining product knowledge, and selling to customers. The position also includes maintaining the store’s appearance through stocking and general housekeeping duties, and performing other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
• Lead department and assist/mentor colleagues
• Promote company programs including warranty sales and Good Sam Memberships
• Maintain strong product knowledge and sell to customers
• Maintain the appearance of the store, including stocking and general housekeeping duties
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Previous retail experience preferred
• Superior customer service skills and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Maintain a professional demeanor and work ethic
• Work flexible retail schedule including evenings and weekends
• May hold up to 25 lbs. and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
• Periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending

Qualifications

For the role, high school education or equivalent is required, with previous retail experience being preferred. Superior customer service skills and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential. Candidates must also maintain a professional demeanor and work ethic, and be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends. They should be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices, and have the ability to stand, stoop, crawl, and bend.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $30,000 - $60,000 or more, depending on experience and performance. This is a commission-based role with uncapped commissions.
