Retail Sales Associate - Part time - 2908

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

Pay

$15.25 to $18.00 per hour plus commission. Associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $3.19 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training.
• Assist with customer inquiries, problem resolution, and exterior tasks (e.g., retrieving products from storage).

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations and a variable retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines.
