Retail Sales Associate - Part Time - 0483

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

Pay

$13.00 to $16.00 per hour plus commission. Employees can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.00 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions
• Perform non-management open/close procedures
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulations
• Handle cash and negotiable items per established procedures
• Answer incoming calls to company standards
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience
• Complete assigned training
• Assist with customer inquiries, problem resolution, and exterior tasks (e.g., retrieving products from storage)
• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling)
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable)
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in basic math calculations
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations and a variable retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines

Commission Plan
