About the role

AutoZone’s store teams are the frontline of WOW! customer service, ensuring that customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain well-stocked inventory, assist customers with product selection, and provide expert advice to enhance the shopping experience. They play a vital role in driving sales, maintaining store operations, and fostering a positive, knowledgeable retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and ensure positive interactions through clear, professional communication.
  • Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment. Support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
  • Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance customer experience, while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
  • Restock merchandise, maintain organization, and follow proper cash handling procedures, loss prevention policies ensuring proper financial management. Keep store operations running smoothly.
  • Utilize structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Follow company safety policies and use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems. Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations. Diagnose customer vehicles using diagnostic tools and recommend solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
  • Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Exceptional communication skills, including strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
  • Previous experience in automotive retail is preferred.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is preferred.
