About the role
The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of customer service and adhering to US Foods' cultural beliefs. This position requires a combination of roles including cashier, stocker, and customer courtesy, and demands a passion for service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure impeccable customer experience by interacting effectively with customers and promoting US Foods' strategies.
- Utilize skills learned in training to maximize sales and manage inventory efficiently.
- Perform various tasks such as scanning, weighing, and assisting customers at the front end of the store.
- Stock and rotate products in different departments, including meat/frozen, produce/dairy, and dry goods/culinary equipment.
- Assist with special events, vendor fairs, and inventory processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
- One year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with office equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform continuous standing, walking, and bending.
