Retail Sales Associate - Freight

About the role

North 40 Outfitters in Ponderay, ID, is seeking a Full-Time Freight Associate to join their team. The company values authenticity, transparency, learning, trust, and delivering value to their customers.

Responsibilities

• Accurate, timely, and safe movement of merchandise onto the sales floor
• Organizing and managing back-stock
• Working all scheduled shifts between Mon-Sat 7 am to 8 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm
• Flexibility in scheduling based on business needs
• Supplying guests with phenomenal customer service
• Multitasking and prioritizing tasks
• Working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Becoming forklift certified (must be 18+ years old)
• Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 65 lbs.
• Spending 100% of work time on your feet, including using ladders, rolling staircases, and pallet jacks

Requirements

• Willingness to share credit, work in a team environment, and define success collectively
• Drive to be dependable and perform well against expectations
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Effective communication skills and ability to engage with customers regularly
• Physical ability to lift and carry items up to 65 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to take initiative, embrace change, and learn new things
• Receiving and/or warehouse experience helpful
• Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques
• Knowledge of North 40's product brands

Skills

• Computer proficiency
• Forklift certification (must be 18+ years old)
