Retail Sales Associate - Conventional Fishing

About the role

North 40 Outfitters in Mead, WA is seeking a Full-Time Conventional Fishing Associate to join their team. They value authenticity, transparency, learning, trust, and delivering value to their customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and generate sales
• Suggest products and merchandise the department
• Maintain a clean and organized department
• Safeguard company assets
• Work all scheduled shifts between Mon-Sat 7 am to 8 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm, including weekends and certain holidays
• Work independently or in a group setting
• Supply guests with phenomenal customer service
• Communicate effectively with customers
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Train in various rod & reel techniques
• Understand and educate customers on North 40's product offerings
• Lift and carry items as needed

Requirements

• Willingness to share credit, work in a team environment, and define success collectively
• Drive to be dependable and perform well against expectations
• Independent or group setting work capability
• Commitment to exceptional customer service
• Good communication skills
• Fitness to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with conventional fishing equipment, lures, hooks, bait, and local fishing areas
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 65 lbs.

Qualifications

• Open availability including weekends
• Knowledge or experience supporting all types of fishing
• Previous merchandising experience helpful
• Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques
• Physical ability to lift and carry items as described above
