Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with every guest in a timely manner assessing their needs and provide product and service knowledge with the highest level of guest service.
- Use suggestive selling and upselling skills with all guests.
- Have knowledge of garment construction, fabric, cut, and styles.
- Process transactions with accuracy involving cash as well as accepting other forms of payment i.e. credit/debit cards at the POS terminal, following PCI guidelines.
- Inspect merchandise prior to wrapping/bagging; verifying product is satisfactory for guest purchase.
- Conduct refunds/exchanges as per company policy.
- Following LP policies using good guest service to help deter external theft.
- Open/closing store housekeeping tasks such as checking on supply levels, spot sweeping, wiping down counter tops, dusting, and keeping all areas including cash wrap neat and uncluttered.
- Maintain sales floor standards and merchandise guidelines to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Keep backrooms, fitting rooms, and other storage areas clean and organized as per company and safety standards.
- Absorb and resolve guest issues at store level within scope of authority, notifying management and/or security for escalated issues.
- Alert the Coordinator/Liaison of issues in store that need to be fixed.
- Identify short dated items for appropriate disposition i.e. mark down, transfer out.
- Determine if merchandise is a damage/salvage and prep to be dispositioned by Coordinator as per Retail and LP SOP’s.
- Prepare merchandise for mail out to include all accompanying paperwork with Coordinator signatures.
- Inform Coordinator on duty of excessive overstock items, slow sellers, fast sellers, and guest requests.
- Answer phones by third ring with a friendly greeting including your name and outlet.
- Perform all other job related duties as requested.
