As a Retail Selling Colleague, you blend selling that delivers results with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. Responsibilities
- Begin each day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals and top-selling items, and staying up to date on current trends and promotions.
- Engage customers with a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations to build relationships and encourage repeat visits.
- Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the sales floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
- Drive sales by offering personalized recommendations, sharing loyalty program benefits, and ensuring customers leave satisfied.
- Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration to foster a positive work environment.
- Strive for continuous improvement, take pride in your work, and contribute to individual and store results.
- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
- Meet daily sales goal challenges through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors.
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
- Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourceful, adaptable to changing priorities, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable using electronic devices, including handheld equipment, cash registers, and processing transactions.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
- Lifting at least 25 lbs.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Reaching, including above eye level.
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job functions.
Schedule
Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. All schedules include weekend shifts as part of the requirements. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
