Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. The ideal candidate will connect with customers, understand their needs, and promote Cox's products and services.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities based on customer needs
• Meet or exceed sales and customer experience targets
• Aid in store operations, including opening and closing
• Handle cash transactions
• Participate in workshops, events, and product demonstrations
• Support other sales associates
• Stay updated on current and competitor products through training

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to diverse customer bases
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds for stock room inventory

Qualifications

• Preferred college experience with a focus in sales, business, or management
• One year of experience in related fields (Sales, Retail Sales, Service Industry, etc.)
• Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken

Benefits

• Variable targeted total compensation of $57,172 ($27.49/hr.)
• Full-time hourly base rate of $19.00/hr. plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,471

$18.32 - $27.45 per hour, with an annual incentive/commission target of $17,652.00
