Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. The ideal candidate will connect easily with customers, understand their needs, and provide personalized recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities
• Offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs
• Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention
• Aid in the opening and closing of retail environments
• Handle cash transactions properly
• Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos
• Support fellow sales associates
• Stay updated on current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to diverse customer bases
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products and services
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds for stock room inventory

Qualifications

• Preferred some college experience with a focus in sales, business, or management
• One year of experience in related fields (sales, retail sales, service industry, etc.)
• Experience selling wireless/mobile products
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken

$18.32 - $27.45 per hour
