Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. This role involves connecting with customers, managing a store environment, and participating in various training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities based on customer needs
• Meet or exceed sales and retention targets
• Aid in store operations, including opening and closing
• Handle cash transactions
• Engage in workshops, special events, and product demonstrations
• Support fellow sales associates
• Stay updated on current and competitor products through regular training
• Work in multiple locations within the same geographical area

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to diverse customer bases
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds for stock room inventory

Qualifications

• Preferred college experience with a focus in sales, business, or management
• One year of experience in related fields (Sales, Retail Sales, Service Industry, etc.)
• Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken

Benefits

• Variable targeted total compensation of $48,628 ($23.38/hr.)
• Annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00
• 16 hours of paid time off per month and 7 paid holidays per year

Pay

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.29 - $22.88/hour. The hourly rate may vary based on factors such as location and experience.

Schedule

This role requires flexibility, including working some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
