Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. The ideal candidate will connect easily with customers and enjoy a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities based on customer needs
• Offer suggestions and drive sales
• Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention
• Avoid and resolve customer complaints
• Assist with store operations, including opening and closing
• Handle cash transactions
• Participate in workshops, special events, and product demos
• Support fellow sales associates
• Stay updated on current and competitor products through training

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment
• Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Some college experience with a focus in sales, business, or management
• One year of experience in related fields (Sales, Retail Sales, Service Industry, etc.)
• Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken

Benefits

Employees are eligible for a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Additional paid time off includes bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave. Compensation includes a full-time hourly base rate of $16.38/hr. plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,279. Employees also receive a ramp period of up to 2 months to adjust to commission earnings. Pay

The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00.

This job requires you to follow the retail routine of working some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
