Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences. This role involves driving sales, meeting targets, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities
• Offer suggestions based on customer needs
• Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention
• Aid in the opening and closing of retail stores
• Handle cash transactions
• Participate in workshops, special events, and product demonstrations
• Support fellow sales associates
• Stay updated on current and competitor products through regular training

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to diverse customer bases
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds for stock room inventory
• Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken)
• Preferred college experience with a focus in sales, business, or management
• One year of experience in related fields (Sales, Retail Sales, Service Industry, etc.)
• Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products

• Variable targeted total compensation of $50,708 ($24.38/hr.)

• Full-time hourly base rate of $17/hr.

Pay

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.29 - $22.88/hour. The hourly rate may vary based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00.

Schedule

This job requires you to follow the retail routine of working some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
