Retail Sales Associate

About the role

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for enhancing the experience of customers and driving profitable sales by providing proactive consultative sales assistance and support to the customer, achieving department standards and goals, and performing sales-support activities to maintain a clean, in-stock, orderly, and well-merchandised sales floor for conducting sales activities.

Responsibilities

• Enhance customer experience and drive sales through consultative sales assistance and support
• Meet or exceed associate performance standards consistently
• Identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions using approved selling practices and guidelines
• Maintain current knowledge of merchandise lines, product features, benefits, and availability
• Partners with other associates to provide superior customer service
• Complete required training and participate in ongoing learning opportunities

Requirements

• Day, evening, and weekend availability for Full-Time roles
• Flexible scheduling for Part-Time openings
• Ability to process customer transactions in the Point of Sale system
• Knowledge of website navigation and technology to facilitate customer experience
• Ability to respond to customer needs and provide solutions when products are not available in the store
• Completion of required training within the expected timeframe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
