We're seeking an experienced Retail Sales Associate to join our team!
You'll be the face of our store, delivering exceptional customer experiences and exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced, welcoming environment.
We're looking for someone who shares our passion for cycling, has knowledge of bicycles, and embodies a proactive and positive attitude.
What You'll Do
- Interacting with customers and providing world-class customer service, including educating them on bicycles, accessories, and clothing, as well as promoting related products and services.
- Supporting daily store operations, including restocking, cleaning, and merchandising to maintain a welcoming and organized store environment.
- Providing unique, personalized customer service through direct and detailed interaction.
- Operating cash registers, handling tasks like counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
- Installing vehicle rack systems and conducting safety checks for customers.
- Explaining merchandise features, operation, and care to customers.
- Merchandising products according to sales plans.
- Demonstrating merchandise usage or operation.
- Maintaining store cleanliness throughout the day.
- Bagging or packaging purchases and wrapping gifts.
- Aiding customers with try-ons or fitting merchandise.
- Inventorying stock and requisitioning new stock.
- Preparing merchandise for purchase or rental.
- Selling or arranging for delivery, insurance, financing, or service contracts for merchandise.
- Performing other duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to maintain open and positive relations with employees and customers.
- Interest in developing own skills and knowledge.
- Previous bike shop sales experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience preferred working as a retail sales associate.
- Ability to periodically lift 40 pounds.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
- Interest in working in a team environment committed to providing excellent sales and service experience while increasing sales through service.
- Strong attention to detail.
