Retail Sales Associate - 2665

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

Pay

$14.00 to $17.50 per hour plus commission. Associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $5.61 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Schedule

Most stores open at 9AM and close at 6PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. Flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Handle cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training.
• Assist customers in parking lots or exterior storage areas as needed.

Requirements

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with people and serve customers in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines.
